Join us on an evolutionary journey spanning over 300,000,000 years, following the development of life on Earth – from magic molecules to mischievous monkeys! We are home to a unique and exciting blend of exotic wildlife and interactive hands-on displays, which makes learning about our amazing animals fun for all the family. Exhibits range from fossils to fossas, snakes to snow leopards and include some of the world’s most threatened species, many of which play active roles in international breeding programmes to help conserve endangered species. Come join us at the North Wests favourite little zoo!

You really can get closer to nature in our lushly planted tropical halls. Butterflies, bats and birds fly freely, whilst our industrious leaf-cutter ant colony toil along their suspended rope walkway overhead!

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis truly is an all-weather attraction. Our tropical hall and butterfly house are the ideal place to while away those rainy days, but sunny days are also appreciated by many of the inhabitants – the lemurs and monkeys being particularly keen sunbathers!

So whether you want to meet the meerkats, contribute to conservation or stroke a snake, the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is the place to be!

We are proud members of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA), the professional body which represents the best zoos and aquariums in the Britain and Ireland.
