Keeper Club - Ages 12+

Do you have a budding Steve Backshall? A wannabe Charles Darwin? Or an aspiring Robert Irwin? Then we've got the answer!

Running every Monday throughout summer, our 12+ Keeper Club gives young people a chance to delve deeper into the lives of conservationists, biologists and zookeepers!

Keeper Club runs on Mondays - 8:30 - 4pm, for just £50 per day. Price includes zoo admission, breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Dates:

Conservation days: Mondays July 24th and August 14th

Biology days: Mondays July 31st and August 21st

Zookeeping days: Mondays August 7th and 28th

What does each day involve?

Conservation Days:

* Help spread awareness of Lakeland Wildlife Oasis' mission - and help our conservation partners!

* Take part in real conservation - including surveying bugs, birds and plants

* Create your own captive breeding programme

* Animal feeding and handling

* And much more

Biology Days:

* Use our new museum resources

* Take part in scientific experiments

* Unravel the secrets of DNA

* Explore the world of animal science and ecology - microscopic to mammalian

* Animal handling and feeding

* And much more!

Zookeeping Days:

* Create animal enrichment

* Enclosure design

* Learn what it takes to be a zookeeper - including cleaning, animal weighing and food prep

* Find your role within a zoo

* Animal feeding and handling

* And much more!
