Easter Eggstravaganza

Sunday, March 13th 2022

Over the Easter Holidays (1st 20th of April) we will be holding an

Easter Eggstravaganza with a celebration of all things 'eggy'. Though we tend to look at birds as unusual, because they lay eggs, it is in fact us mammals that are the oddities. Nearly all living creatures start with an egg , even including a couple of primitive Australian mammals, the echidna and platypus. Throughout the holidays we will be taking a closer look at some of the queer and curious egg layers and their eggs. There will be egg related activities for the younger visitor, a themed trail where you can match the mother with the egg, and extra keeper talks every day.
